For 4 generations, the Roskam-Brunot family has been perpetuating their passion in elaborating fine wines of Saint-Emilion so that we can guarantee you the highest quality and authenticity of our wines.

It’s at the heart of this historic property that we have the pleasure of welcoming you and have you discover our passion and history.

Château Cantenac received the “Jury’s Choice Awards for the “Best of Wine Tourism 2017” competition as recognition of the quality of hospitality and services provided at the estate. Our visitors rewarded us with the Trip Advisor “Travellers’ Choice Award” for the last 10 years. Thank you :)

TASTINGS

« Tasting : Selection of the day » : presentation in the tasting room of the family, followed by an educational tasting of 3 wines. [Price: 9 € – Duration : 30 min]. To book: call or email us, but drop-ins “may” be possible (subject to availability).
Days: Monday to Friday (week-end and Bank Holidays by appointment only)

THE VISITS

The tours are friendly, educational, punctuated with interesting anecdotes and take you on a journey to discover the life of a family estate. You will discover the unique history of the family & the estate and the production stages of a Grand Cru from the vine to the glass: the terroir, the vineyard work, winemaking and wine aging. The visit ends with a comparative and educational tasting of our family wines.

Days : Monday to Saturday (subject to availability)
Usual Tour Times : 10:30 am, 2:00 pm, 3:30 pm – The winery is closed between 12 pm and 2 pm.

Tour schedule: Tours start at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, you are welcome to join the tour in progress. However, if you are more than 15 minutes late and have not informed us in advance, your booking will be considered cancelled. Refund policy: Cancellations are eligible for a refund when requested at least 48 hours before the tour. A €5 administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations.

« CLASSIC » Tour 
Group visit including a tasting of 3 wines. Duration : 1 hour
Price : 15 € per adult, 7.5 € per teenager (aged 13 to 18), free for children 12 and under. The payment is required to confirm your booking.

« PRESTIGE » Tour 
Group visit including a tasting of 4 wines accompanied by bread and cheese.
Price : 35 € per adult – Duration : 1h30 – The payment is required to confirm your booking.

« PRIVATE COLLECTION » Tour

Visit including the tasting of 4 wines that YOU choose from our family’s Private Collection Wine List*, accompanied by aged cheese 

      *Select One vintage per category :

1. Excellence : 2023, 2022, 2020 or 2019;
2. Timeless collection : 2014, 2011, 2008, 2006, 2004, 2002;
3. Challengers collection : 2021, 2017, 2013, 2007;
4. Exceptional collection : 2018, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009 or 2005.

Price : 75 € per adult (4 to 12 people) – Duration : 1h30 

Private tours are available for a minimum of 4 guests. Smaller groups are welcome to book the tour for a fee of €300 – The payment is required to confirm your booking.

WORKSHOP & SEMINAR

Organize your workshops or seminars in the heart of Saint-Emilion vineyard. 

Conditions : 5 to 30 people depending on configuration. Reservation on request.

TRANSPORT : By Car : 8 min from the Village / 6 min from St Emilion Train Station / 15 min from Libourne Train Station ;  By Bike : 15 min from the Village or St Emilion Train Station [Bike rental at the Tourism Office] ; On Foot : 50 minutes from the Village. Other : Please note that it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from Saint-Émilion train station to the village centre ; Important note : taxis are rare and need to reserved in advance.

ACCESSIBILITY (ERP) : all parts of the tour and tasting experience as well as toilets are wheelchair accessible.

PETS: our winery is dog/cat friendly (it is imperative to inform us).

BUS ACCESS & PARKING: Bus parking. GPS Access address : 1976 Route de Castillon, 33330 Saint-Emilion, FR. Bus access impossible at the front gate, please use the back entrance of the winery. (A) first right before winery coming from Castillon, and left. or (B) first left after winery coming from Libourne, and left again.
